We take pride in hiring the highest caliber staff and providing them with excellent compensation, benefits, and working conditions. Permanent, full-time staff receive health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, flexible pre-tax spending accounts, child care subsidies, a credit union, paid holidays, seniority sabbaticals, and paid time off for program observations, jury duty, bereavement, and sick and vacation days.

| Head teachers devote 25% of their working day to administrative responsibilities such as meeting with parents, training staff, and preparing classroom activities. They are given a discretionary and flexible monthly expense allowance for their programs. We provide all staff with an extensive in-service training program, an annual off-site, fully-paid training retreat, and funds for outside training.
The maximum ratio of students to adult staff does not exceed 12:1 and the maximum classroom size is 24. To maintain a staffing level of two adults in a room throughout most of the day requires a minimum of three individuals, sometimes four. Each elementary classroom is managed by a head teacher who is certified by a Montessori teacher training institute. Every teacher will possess at least a bachelors degree. Some have masters degrees; others have doctorates.
The average classroom, at 1,500 square feet, is 50% larger than the average public school classroom. Every child has his or her own cubby, equipped with a personal computer.
Our schools purchase only the highest quality materials, supplies, and playthings. They are maintained continuously and supplemented or replaced several times a year. In addition, school premises are cleaned daily by a professional cleaning service.
