Community Service at Emerson School
Written by Christina Trujillo
During the month of February, Emerson students took a community service field trip to Roots and Wings Montessori and a local senior care center. They prepared a variety show and performed for the preschoolers and seniors.
Students also participated in fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by hosting a car window washing day.
By participating in community service students learn about making an impact, leadership, teamwork, philanthropy, and what “doing good” for others means.
